Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Property Peek app and website. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The marketplace

Property Peek is a marketplace that connects people who want information about a property ("Seekers") with independent local people who visit properties and report back ("Peekers"). We are not a party to the arrangement between a Seeker and a Peeker, we do not employ Peekers, and we are not a real-estate broker, inspector or appraiser. Reports from Peekers are informational only and are not a professional inspection.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your login details secure and your information accurate; you are responsible for activity on your account. Peekers must upload a valid government ID and complete Stripe payout setup, including Stripe's identity verification, before accepting requests. We may reject documents, and suspend or remove any account, at our discretion.

3. Visiting properties

Peekers must obey all laws, respect private property and only enter property or take photos where they have the right to do so (for example from public areas, or with the owner's or agent's permission). Never put yourself or others at risk. Seekers must not ask Peekers to do anything unlawful or unsafe.

4. Payments

The Seeker pays the service price shown in the app plus our service fee when they complete a job. Payments are processed by Stripe. Peekers receive the service price, less any amounts shown in the app, through Stripe Connect and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Prices are in US dollars. Peekers are responsible for their own taxes.

5. Cancellations and refunds

A Seeker may cancel a request before it is completed; no payment is taken for cancelled requests. If a completed job was not performed as described, contact support within 7 days and we will review it; refunds are at our discretion and may be reversed from the Peeker's payout.

6. Your content

You own the content you upload (photos, videos, notes, messages, reviews). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and share it as needed to operate Property Peek, and you grant the Seeker who requested a job the right to use the media and notes from that job for their own property decisions. You must have the rights to what you upload.

7. Community rules — zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not post or send content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, fraudulent, infringing or that invades someone's privacy, and you must not spam, impersonate others, or try to take payment outside the app. You can report content or users and block users in the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove offending content, and suspend or remove users who break these rules. Accounts reported by several different users are suspended automatically while we review them.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put others at risk.

9. Disclaimers

Property Peek is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the accuracy of any report, the conduct of any user, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on information from another user. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post changes here and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Property Peek after changes take effect means you accept them.
